On The Record
What’s This About?
This link is not publicly available. If you found this part of my website and scrolled back to read this (hey, thanks!) you are probably a friend or family member. It’s not a big deal, but let’s try to keep it that way.
These are the images that I make for myself in any given month. Some of these are part of my teaching, some of these are part of other jobs I work for people. Some of these images will appear on other parts of this website or on my Instagram feed. Some will never appear anywhere else. Some will get more work and appear at another place in time in a new way. Look all you like but please keep this in mind: This is not a portfolio (at least not in the sense of showing only my most polished work). Most of these images are flawed in some way. In this way, at least somebody will see them. “Does that mean everything I shoot ends up here?” You might ask. To which I will say; “oh hell no.”
All of the images are here are low-resolution (mainly to save bandwidth). They are only loosely organized within each month (and some months are busier than others). I will include a few notes on what’s going on at the beginning of each month.
The Backlog: January to October, 2018.
This record has existed in some form or another since 2008 (and maybe I will write about that one day) but for various reasons I decided to retroactively start this project on the first of January, 2018. The next ten posts on this blog are me playing catch-up.
How Does This Work?
I am just going to add images to each gallery as I make them. That means from November (as I write this) onward, newer images will appear at the bottom of each gallery. (There is no way to go reverse chronological order at this time in Squarespace) Which is to say you can check back for new stuff if you are into that kind of thing.
And hey, thanks.
